September 27-28th: Drama, Debate, and Forensics Tournament at Chugiak High
Most classrooms, except for the science labs and computer spaces, will be used. Please let us know if your room is out of order on Monday morning so we can help make it right.

KODIAK MOMENT // Kyra pulled double duty running for XC in Kodiak at the beginning of September and snapping these beautiful moments during the trip.
ALL THE VOLLEYBALL // JV and C teams volleyball are having a great season, including these shots from Bartlett on 9/5 by Lily, Noah, and Micah.

WE LOVE ALEV // Chugiak hosted the “Welcome Home” assembly for Bronze medal olympian and member of the US Women’s Sevens Rugby Team AND 2009 Chugiak Grad, Alev Kelter, on September 5th. Photos by Chloe, Skylar, Abi, Partners Club, and Laurie Templeton.
GIC-YA WORKING // The Geometry in Construction class learned about translation by modifying blueprints to scale and then creating mini cement kitchen countertops on 9/6.

END OF THE RAINBOW // Chugiak Flag continues a packed schedule this month. Here are some shots from a rainy, rainbow-touched game in early September. Photos by Bella and Conlan.
WHADDA SWEEP // Chugiak XC did a six-straight sweep at the Big 8 Invite earlier this month. Yep– Chugiak won the Varsity Girls, Varsity Boys, JV Girls, JV Boys, Open Girls, and Open Boys team races, all in the same day! Photos by Chloe and Kyra.
AP ATE // The AP Scholars Lunch was a big success… pizza usually leads to success. Photos by Noah.
BRIDGE SECURED // Chugiak Volleyball topped ERHS in the Wolves’ Den on 9/10. Photos by Lily, Micah, and Noah.
FALL FIELD DAY // World Discovery Seminar had their annual field day at the Chalet on 9/12 in intense rain, which appears to be quickly becoming a tradition for field day. The Seniors have learned and prepared… the freshmen were mud monsters.
GOOD CATS // Yearbook celebrates “Good Cat of the Week” every Friday by highlighting staff members who have gone above and beyond in the previous week. 9/13’s honorees were Freshmen staffers Kailyn and Never. Yearbook’s “Bad Cat” of the week was communication and battery charging.
JUST KEEP SWIMMING // Chugiak Swim and Dive had a home meet on Friday 9/13 and took “practice” team photos. Photos by Danalie and Mia.
SENIOR “SUN”RISE // The Class of 2025 celebrated homecoming week with donuts and friendship on the main field at 7:30 on Wednesday morning. This event was organized by the Student Gov Senior Class, with help from Ms. Miller. Sadly, the sun did not RSVP.
LAUNCHING THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION // The Chugiak Alumni Association is a new booster club led by alumni of Chugiak High School. They have a cool website, http://www.chugiakalumni.com, and an Instagram account. go check them out and consider joining as a member. ASD Employees cannot serve on the board or manage booster club checking accounts. The Alumni Association hopes to help fund the Chugiak Sunshine Fund, The Chugiak Memorial Scholarship, and other academic, athletic, and activity events and needs at Chugiak.
